Family Ties

What a wonderful gift family is!  I got to tell you, I am excited to have a family reunion in June next year.  It seems as if the older we get, the more spread out we get.  Different branches of the same tree spread out all over the United States (and some in Poland).  God has truly blessed us to have a family that desires to reconnect.  Frani is talking about working on a family tree to present at the family reunion, and I just got to thinking about the details of this family.  Being so young, I only new my grandpa and grandpa (Henry and Rachel) but just from those two, four separate lives were started.  Those “branches” burst forth into twelve new “branches” (if you are reading this and are offended by being called a branch, I deeply apologize).   From those twelve how many more “branches” will sprout and mature making a mark on the world we live in.  And the tree spreads more and more, impacting this world in ways we can only guess.  

I, for one, hope that all sixteen branches can make it to this reunion. We can laugh together, share precious memories together, cry together, and just reconnect.  I hope to see you all in June.

Reunion 2006 – June?

Matt is on the board of Camp Utibaca in Utah and has suggested we rent that camp if we can in mid-June.  How many cabins does it have, Matt, and what would we be able to do while we are there.  What is the closest place we could fly into in order to get there?  I know there is a large dining room and chapel area and 2 nice cabins.  Can we bring RV’s?  This is indeed a possibility I think.  Julie is contacting Camp Bethel in Dayton, Wyoming and Bear Lodge up by Burgess Junction.  We should know about them soon. – Frani

Reunion Camp Sites

I hope you all will enjoy writing and making comments.  I just heard from Julie and she is still unable to make connections with Camp Bethel in the Big Horns, but she is looking into a camp site with cabins in Cody that may work out for us.  I really wonder though about the 4th of July being available at since that is Cody’s highlight, but I think it is a good idea.  Jerry is interested in a new place in Ten Sleep at the golf course.  He has been pouring concrete there for cabins to be built.  There are 4 done now and they hope to have 12 altogether.  He is going to check on the pricing – if it is available.  I checked in Circle J in Ten Sleep, but all it has is 2 dorms with 33 beds in each.  We would really be at camp – all living together.  Didn’t sound inviting to me. There is also the possibility of just having it in Worland and then planning activities in Thermopolis, Ten Sleep Creek, etc.  Please, everyone, help us find the best place.  I am really looking forward to this. 

2007 Family Reunion

Most all have heard that we would like to have a Klemm Family Reunion in the summer of 2007.  This a great idea, but we need help from everyone. 

Where should we have it?

When should we schedule it? 

How long can we do it?

These are all questions that we need to iron out soon.  If we would like to rent a youth camp for a couple of days, we would have to do it in the off-season (June or August).  I am looking into lodges in Salt Lake City.  But we are completely open for suggestions.  We need to get some of these details figured out soon so that some members can begin purchasing plane tickets.  If you have a suggestion.  Either email me (pmatt@graceutah.com) or post a comment on this site.
